The functionally active form of thiamine is thiamine pyrophosphate, which is involved in carbohydrate metabolism as a cofactor for dehydrogenases and transketolases. Pyridoxal phosphate acts as a coenzyme in several metabolic transformations of AA. Vitamin B6 is involved in the synthesis of the following neurotransmitters, gamma-aminobutyric acid, dopamine, serotonin, as well as in the synthesis of sphingolipids that make up the myelin sheath. Vitamin B12 participates in the synthesis of nucleic acids, in the synthesis of the myelin sheath of nerve fibers and in the maturation process of erythrocytes. Diclofenac inhibits the biosynthesis of prostaglandins.
